With the AHTPM power supply, specially designed for capacitive and resistive loads, EFFITECH offers a high-performance and flexible solution, allowing rapid and precise voltage modulation for a multitude of applications. Its robust design and multiple protections ensure reliable and secure operation

Main Characteristics:

  • Adjustable output voltage from 0 to 5 kV

  • Modifiable pulse duration, greater than 200 ns

  • Repetition rate limited to an average power of 600 W and a current of 120 mA per power supply

  • The system is protected against short circuits and goes into a fault state when a current greater than 60 A is detected (factory setting)

  • Rise and fall times depend on the load and the length of the output cable. The switching time on a 20 pF load is typically less than 25 ns (depends on the chosen MOSFET and can be reduced)

Additional Functionalities:

  • Fast MOSFET-based switching system

  • Incorporates a 0 /+5 kV power supply, currents up to 60 mA

  • Displays average voltage and current readings on the front panel of the power supply

The AHTPM40DC50 generator can generate continuous/pulsed pulse trains according to the waveform imposed by the user (pulse width, frequency f, typically 40 kV peak, 50 kV Offset)

  • either locally

  • or remotely via an RS485 optical link

It also allows:

  • to visualize in real-time the evolution of the parameters,

  • to archive the corresponding history

​

It also has an automatic restart mode in case of arcs.

​

The main characteristics of the system intended to send a voltage pulse train to a capacitive load are as follows:

​

  • Adjustable continuous output voltage from 0 to -50 kV

  • Adjustable pulsed output voltage between 0 and -40 kV

  • Adjustable pulse duration from 10 to 100 μs

  • The repetition rate is limited by the power supplies:

    • 1 kW, 20 mA for the continuous power supply

    • 1.3 kW, 86 mA for the pulsed power supplies

  • The system is protected against short-circuits of the load and goes into a fault state in case of detection of a current greater than 25 A.

  • The rise and fall times depend on the load and the length of the output cable. Typically they are less than 1 μs

The AHTPM5 generator is dedicated to resistive loads. It delivers a monopolar pulse. The peak voltages are fully customizable* (typically 5 kV peak).

  • Integrated into a 19-inch rack

  • Fully PC-controlled

  • 5 V synchronization signal during the pulse

  • Integrated current sensor (0.5 V/A)

  • Fully adjustable pulsed output voltage from 0 to 5 kV*

  • Pulse duration adjustable between 1 µs and 100 µs

  • The repetition rate is limited by the average power

  • Load impedance > 100 ohms*

  • Short-circuit protection

  • Rise and fall times depend on the load and the length of the output cable. Typical switching times on a non-inductive 50 kOhms load are less than 100 ns.
